Wow, only about a week for the next ultrasound. Very exciting stuff. Sorry I missed the big L.A. Blogger Party. Would love to have seen you again.

How weird! I'm having my CVS test done on June 11th. Freaky. I had it with Baby Girl too and it wasn't bad at all. Never had an actual amnio but I think it's pretty similar. The only thing that sucked was the guy went in once and the baby moved so he had to do it again. But better a little pain than a missing finger or two. Kidding! That doesn't really happen any more.

I have also officially joined the looking six months pregnant immediately following conception club. In my first ultrasound, there was this tiny little blog inside this freaking huge black hole that is apparently my uterus. Ugh.

Can't you "just say no" to the amnio?

In any case, congratulations, and I'm glad the pregnancy is going so well. The water aerobics sounds like a lot of fun!

I love your punch line!

My daughter liked to sit cross-legged in utero so we couldn't see her girly parts. Our son was positoned perfectly to see his boy bits but the technician still had a hard time seeing them. That prepared me for a boy with proportions somewhat different from Ron Jeremy's...

I didn't have amnios but I've heard that they aren't that bad at all. I had CVS's very early on. I knew my kids' sexes before I was even showing!

All right, I started showing a little earlier in my second pregnancy. Like immediately following conception.

When I was pregnant with my daughter (who is now 2), my son was about 2 1/2 and could only very barely grasp (if at all) the concept of a baby in my tummy. One day I asked him if he wanted a girl baby or a boy baby, and after thinking about it long and hard, he said very decidedly, "Mama, I want a baby Dumbo."

Huh. I guess baby elephants are more exciting than baby people? In any case, he wasn't TOO disappointed when she finally arrived and looking, sadly, not a thing like Dumbo.

Congrats on the new baby coming! I found you through LA Daddy...
