We had a similar weekend this last weekend with our 2.5 yr old, but we don't have any "undies" yet - I am looking for some ballerina undies, but don't know where to get them - any suggestions?

Briana - Congrats!!!!! Sounds like he's really ready for underwear. My daughter's day care teachers instructed me to make a "no more diapers" rule. She wears a pullup at napttime and at night (but we call it "pull up underwear" so that "underwear" word is consistent). They'll have some accidents but once they feel the discomfort of wetness on their legs and clothes they'll "get it" and be more consistent with getting to the toilet in time. The main thing is to ask them consistently if they need to use the toilet (first thing in the morning, right after breakfast, before naptime, etc.) and to be patient. LAT has progressed to the point now where she has about 2 accidents per week and she's crushed when that happens but realizes its a learning process. We've recently stopped using the pullup at naptime so her accidents are usually right after her nap - she's getting better though.

Good luck to you and your son!

p.s. Dress him in pants that are easy to pull on and off. And learn where all the restrooms are in your favorite stores and restaurants - and find out if you need a key to access them (usually the case in grocery stores).

LA Mommy,
I'm impressed with how these little ones do when they are actually ready. Our little LA Toddler kind of sprung his readiness on me yesterday and I'm very excited about his success thus far. Seriously, he's already peed in the potty 3 times and pooped 2 times in the past 24 hours. He's only 20 months, which seems a bit early, but I'll take it nevertheless.
Anyhow, my question is this: At what point did you decide to use the cloth undies vs. the diapers? And have you tried the pullups?

Congrats. LA toddler sounds like my girl. I'm amazed at the size of her poops. Isn't it amazing how much we talk about bowel movements when we become parents.

This morning I found a few floaters in the girls' bathroom. My daughters great at pooping....not so great at flushing.

That is awesome! It sounds like she is picking it up quickly and enjoys it too. Thank goodness for potty training videos that appeal to our kids!!
