5 Things About Me

I answered the questions, forwarded it on to a few other friends, and then it hit me — I’d just done a blog meme for the un-bloggers! So, I figured I’d put it up on my site. And, in the tradition of L.A. Daddy, I won’t ask anyone in particular to do it… but it you would like to. Feel free:
5 things about me:
Four jobs I have had in my life:
- Counter sales at Dairy Queen Brazier in high school
- Floor sales at Wilson’s the Leather Experts in college
- Highway worker at ODOT (the Ohio Department of Transportation… yeah, I drove big dump trucks) during summers in college
- Assistant to an attorney and manager at music management firm (Henry Rollins, Filter & more!)
Four places I have lived:
- New Philadelphia, Ohio
- Columbus, Ohio
- Toluca Lake, CA
- Valley Village, CA
Four places I have been on vacation:
- Kauai, Hawaii
- Las Vegas
- Napa Valley, CA
- The Bahamas
Four of my favorite foods:
- Pancakes - any flavor any time of day
- Mexican - carnitas, guacamole & chips…mmm
- Italian - manicotti
- Pumpkin and other squashes
Four places I would rather be right now:
- Home
- At school with L.A. Toddler - I wanna do what she does all day
- At the Oaks at Ojai with free spa services!

Hey Karen, I just wanted to let you know how great it was to meet you and spend sometime talking with you. Will and I really both enjoyed ourselves. And all that talk about alien baby-moments.
Thank you again and we’ll be looking forward to the next time. We’re hoping that there’s a next time.
And I’d like to be in Ohio right now as well. Or the spa in Ojai wouldn’t be so bad either.

Five things about me…
1. First/Worst job: spending the summer when I was thirteen rolling coin of a local bank.
2. Current/Best job: a newspaper columnist, which I dreamed of being since highschool and a mother and wife.
3. Two states that I have lived in: Oklahoma for 33 years, California for 1.
4. Where I wish I was right now: sipping sangria Swirls at The Mont in Norman, OK with my best girlfriends.
5. When I am: sitting in Valencia, CA waiting for my toddler, the Bald-headed Monkey, to wake up from his nap.
