I’m Addicted to the Needles!
Published October 10th, 2006 in Me.I’ve become a knitting junkie! Help!
No… don’t help! I love it!
I discovered the art of knitting last week and it’s been a blast so far. I started with two fabulous bamboo needles and a ball of yarn. Now, I’ve got a two-foot-long-and-growing scarf for L.A. Toddler! There’s always been sort of a stigma attached to knitting - that it’s something for little old ladies, who sit around knitting sweaters for grandchildren, as an excuse to get together and gossip. But, well, I just don’t care. I think I’m going to keep doing it!
What I like about it — it’s not so much that I’m making a scarf or whatever, but it’s great stress relief. After a hard week at my office, there was nothing better than knitting away as I watched Desperate Houswives last night to prepare myself for Monday.
Besides the occasional martini, what are you doing for stress relief?

Crocheting. It’s one less needle to lose! Although I’m taking a break - my girls have been begging me to stop making them hats.
I feel bad - someone left a comment on this post and, because of a problem with this Wordpress template, I had to delete and re-add the whole post… but I lost the comment. My apologies!
