L.A. Toddler… L.A. Girl
Published October 12th, 2006 in L.A. Toddler. It’s happening. She’s growing up too fast. They all warned us this would happen as if in the blink of the eye. As if it weren’t enough that she’s moving on to the next level at day care, it seems as though EVERYONE wants to make her older than she is.
She’s polite, she cleans up after herself when she makes a mess, she asks permission to do things, and when asked her age she replies, “Two” and holds up two fingers. Then the person looks at me and laughs and says, “Only two, huh?” I reply, “Yep, two and a half” and they laugh. “Really? Two?… not three? She’s such a big girl!” I usually smile and press my lips closed.
But I really just want to beg them to stop making her grow up so fast. She turned 30 months old this week and it’s all passed so too fast! Maybe L.A. Daddy is right… is it time for another one?!
An L.A. Baby, maybe…
