100 Things (continued)
Published October 18th, 2006 in 100 things. Here’s a continuation from the previous 100 Things About Me:
93 - I’m a fabulous parallel parker. I back in, move forward about a foot and… voila! I’m done – and only 6 inches from the curb. My wheels have no scratches on them (knock on wood!)
92 - My husband has dinner ready for me and L.A. Toddler when we get home each night. It’s always fabulous and I’m jealous that I can’t cook as fast as he can without burning something.
91 - Misspelled words (signs, advertisements, documents) are my biggest pet peeve. I always want to fix them!
Poor grammar is my second biggest pet peeve. I just want to edit everything I read that’s not perfect (of course, there are probably dozens throughout my own blog! Naturally…)
90 - I have a paralegal degree that I’m very proud of - law fascinates me - yet I have no desire to put in the long hours required to get to the top.
89 - I have a deformity. My right hand is missing the muscle pad and tendons that allow me to have full function of my thumb. I cannot snap my fingers. And I curse the kindergarten teacher who wouldn’t let me be a lefty every time it rains… the arthritis is setting in.
88 - When L.A. Toddler was born and they placed her on my chest the first thing I noticed was that she had my mother’s ear. It’s got a little extra bump of cartilage just before the ear begins. It looks exactly like my mom’s. It’s my little reminder of her.
87 - I didn’t even think to count Emma’s fingers and toes and give her a full body inspection until she was about 3 days old. She always looked so peaceful I didn’t want to go poking and prodding around.
86 - I have a thing for musicians. I could really care less about cute actors (except for Johnny Depp, of course.) John Cougar was my first star crush - I was 10 years old.
85 - I have turned into my mother — in the heat of scolding L.A. Toddler recently my mother’s voice came from my body. I almost fainted.
